How to take care of eyes

  • BY DR. AK RANA

These days be it work or entertainment, our eyes are constantly engaged in working. What do you understand by this working?

In order to accommodate for the near vision, muscles of our eyes have to constrict continuously. They are relaxed when you look at a far away object and that’s how your eyes get tired.

To keep them healthy and well, you need to spend some time on it, along with changing some of your habits.

  • Maintain adequate distance (approx. 25 cm) between you and the book.
  • Take a break of at least 5 minutes after a 30-minute continuous work on laptop/computer/mobile.
  • Reduce your screen-time.
  • Drink adequate water.
  • Do eye muscles exercise.

Just how we need to exercise our body muscles to keep them fit, just like that we need to train our eye muscles.
