Max Verstappen recently showed up with a statement—and no, I’m not just talking about his spectacular win at the Imola Grand Prix.

I’m talking about the confidence.

The way he drove.

The way he defeated what everyone’s calling the No. 1 car of the season—McLaren.

And let’s be honest, for a while, people were starting to think Red Bull’s era might be slowing down.

Adrian Newey leaving the team?

Big news.

Big impact.

But people seem to forget—Red Bull still has Max. And Max, well, he’s a whole different machine.

In a recent interview, Max didn’t just celebrate a win.

He made it clear he’s not out of the championship race either.

Red Bull is progressing race by race, and a huge part of that comes down to the feedback Max gives, especially during Friday practice sessions and qualifying prep.

Take Imola for example.

Right until the very end, Red Bull engineers were all hands-on deck, constantly working on the car.

It was intense.

And then Max drops this gem:

“I was working with the factory and on simulators the last few days, and I think we have built a Rocketship!”

Now that’s a statement.

And one that got the whole paddock talking.

While Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri keep enjoying the pace McLaren’s got, Max Verstappen is inching closer.

He’s not just driving fast—he’s out there plotting, testing, building, and striking at the right moment.

And honestly, you can’t ever afford to underestimate this guy.

His life, his joy, his everything revolves around racing.

The more competitive things get, the more fired up he becomes. That’s just who he is.

That said, Max Verstappen did admit the car still isn’t perfect. It’s a bit tricky in slow corners, although it shines at faster ones. And that brings us to—Monaco.

Now this is where things get interesting.

Monaco is all about slow corners and zero room for error. There’s hardly any overtaking.

So, qualifying is the key.

And guess what?

This year, F1’s adding two mandatory pit stops—which means strategy could make or break the race.

So, what’s going to happen?

Will McLaren’s pace rule the tight streets of Monte Carlo? Or will Max and his so-called “Rocketship” surprise us again?

I don’t know about you,

but I’m glued to this one.
