A buzzing question for all F1 fans ahead of Chinese Grand Prix!

With the kind of performance McLaren has shown, it’s clear they are in serious contention. But the biggest talking point?

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri—two drivers who are not going to make life easy for each other.

Oscar Piastri’s home race was a rollercoaster. He was almost out of the race, going off track in the final laps, but made a stunning comeback, overtaking a seven-time world champion—yes, Lewis Hamilton—to score points.

Yet, despite his recovery, frustration was written all over his face.

Why?

Because he was told to hold position behind Norris.

Clearly, why?

Maybe because the track was too slippery—there were crashes everywhere, and McLaren couldn’t afford to lose both cars.

That’s why.

And yet, ironically, something similar happened anyway.

As soon as Oscar started pushing, he slipped onto the grass, throwing away his podium at his home Grand Prix. You could see the regret in his post-race interview.

He recently said he would talk to the team about the decision to hold position.

Of course, he should.

Both are racing drivers.

Both want to win.

You can’t expect one ,

to just step aside.

Still, McLaren made their stance clear: whoever is ahead takes the win.

Ahead?

Ahead in qualifying?

Or just ahead after the first turn,

where you fight for position and then hold on for dear life?

Because if it’s the latter,

Then qualifying will decide everything now.

One thing is certain—McLaren only cares about securing a 1-2 in Chinese Grand Prix.

They don’t have another Checo, willing to play the second fiddle like Red Bull had in past seasons. They have two drivers who will fight tooth and nail, and that’s exactly what we’re about to witness. Piastri won’t back down. Norris won’t either. And neither will be handing over race wins on a silver platter.

Red Bull is still fast, but maybe they are driving with only one car,

looking at Liam Lawson and Max Verstappen.

And as they say, if you are not strong enough, you rely on your rivals’ mistakes.

If McLaren executes a perfect race, Verstappen’s chances depend on whether Norris and Piastri get tangled in their own battle.

And Mercedes? They seem locked in that 4-5 zone again, but Lewis Hamilton won’t even have that this time—because he’s at Ferrari now,

and

“It was an absolute “what the hell?” weekend for them. Charles Leclerc? He’s used to these heartbreaks by now.”

So, who wins in Chinese Grand Prix?

If Norris qualifies ahead, he may win.

But if Piastri takes pole, he’s not making the same mistake again.

As for the rest?

Let’s wait for qualifying.
