But if there\u2019s one driver whose word on victories you&#8217;d never second-guess, it&#8217;s Max Verstappen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the pre-race interview ahead of the Austrian GP 2025, a seemingly harmless question sparked a mini storm in the F1 community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&#8220;You&#8217;ve won 4 times here, how is the confidence?&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s what the interviewer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Max paused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raised an eyebrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And corrected him with a quiet confidence only a four-time world champion can carry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cIt\u2019s 5 wins, not 4.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The interviewer insisted again,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cNo, it\u2019s 4 wins. The 5th will be next.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Max didn&#8217;t budge:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cIt\u2019s 5 wins! Anyway, I\u2019m always confident for Austrian GP and I\u2019ll strive for the podium for sure.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>And just like that, Formula 1 fans were off to the races \u2014 not on track, but in stat books, Reddit threads, and Wikipedia edits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because when Max Verstappen says a number, you don\u2019t doubt it. You double-check yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turns out, Max may have a point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Real Austrian GP Confusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021, COVID rearranged the F1 calendar, and several tracks hosted back-to-back races under different names. The Red Bull Ring in Austria was one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It hosted two races \u2014 the Styrian GP and the Austrian GP, both run on the same track just a week apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Max won both races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>But if you ask him \u2014 and many fans agree \u2014 both were Austrian GPs in spirit, and that makes it five wins, not four.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>So maybe Wikipedia isn\u2019t wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe Max isn\u2019t either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s just one of those quirky F1 things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And in F1, if Max Verstappen corrects your stats, maybe it&#8217;s time to update your source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What\u2019s Next for <strong>Max Verstappen<\/strong>?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite a rocky Spanish GP, where a 10-second penalty saw Max finish P10, and a few whispers of driver penalty points piling up, the Dutchman remains unshaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether it&#8217;s rumours of him leaving Red Bull, switching to Mercedes or Aston Martin, or even stepping away to conquer Le Mans or Spa \u2014 one thing is constant:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Max Verstappen races to win.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The Austrian GP always hits different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Orange smoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roaring fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And no \u2014 it\u2019s not the papaya army, if you know, you know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Championship 2025 may not be cruising smoothly, and with every point lost, the title fight gets spicier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>But F1 isn&#8217;t about early predictions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It&#8217;s about pushing to the last lap, and nobody embodies that fight like Max does.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>He might even bring back his iconic #33 next season if things don\u2019t pan out.
