When asked, he calmly responded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;I didn\u2019t think much about it at the time. I believed I would overtake him easily\u2014just like it\u2019s been so far.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That moment perfectly summed it up:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>From believing in McLaren\u2019s pace to being overconfident in it, and ultimately underestimating Max Verstappen\u2014that\u2019s where it all went wrong for Oscar.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because you can underestimate Red Bull\u2019s car, but never Max Verstappen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And for Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri\u2014if they\u2019re serious about the championship\u2014keeping Max out of the race equation is not an option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Because once Max starts winning, he makes it his every-race habit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not to mention, <a>Red Bull <\/a>arrived in Imola with updates\u2014and they worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Red Bull thrives on fast corners, as we saw at the Japanese Grand Prix.
