Enjoyed the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix qualifying? Some of you must be overjoyed, others disheartened\u2014well, that\u2019s how this entire season is shaping up. Nothing seems predictable. But now comes the more exciting part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>After Saturday comes Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After qualifying comes the race.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Will the race positions remain the same as qualifying? Saudi Arabian Grand Prix<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, that\u2019s tricky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because we\u2019ve got one prime overtaking zone\u2014Turn 1\u2014right at the start of the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following a high-speed straight comes a fast, left-handed corner at Turn 1, and DRS is often activated here to aid overtaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>For those hoping to shake off a poor qualifying, Turn 1 might just be their best\u2014and last\u2014resort.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensuring a perfect launch to gain positions early will be crucial for both Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oscar Piastri will also be eyeing a move on Max Verstappen to snatch the lead, and Max will need to defend hard\u2014as he usually does, and quite well, we must admit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, with Max and Oscar battling it out, George Russell could pounce on the opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mercedes can\u2019t be ignored anymore, and if there\u2019s a shuffle up front\u2014thanks to oversteer, understeer, or someone slipping off\u2014Charles Leclerc will be right there, waiting to strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two drivers who were predicted to be up top are down near the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Lando Norris crashed in qualifying!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>His car understeered, leading to contact with the wall. This street circuit is so narrow, there\u2019s just no room for error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;One slip onto the grass, and you\u2019re out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No second chances- Saudi Arabian Grand Prix<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Zak Brown surely wasn\u2019t pleased.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>And rightly so\u2014because the error margin for an F1 driver is razor-thin. Had Lando been on a timed lap before the crash, there might\u2019ve been some cushion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;But it wasn\u2019t to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a bit like Practice 3\u2014make a mistake there, and you risk missing qualifying. Same in Q3\u2014you need to complete a solid banker lap before going all-out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s the kind of high-stakes environment we\u2019re in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever happened, the good news is Lando is safe and ready to race Sunday. He\u2019ll get over this\u2014especially with a break of more than 10 days before the next Grand Prix. For now, it\u2019s all about how he performs at Turn 1 at race start. He did well in Bahrain, recovering from a poor qualifying finish P6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>He starts P10 in Jeddah, which is tougher\u2014but with McLaren\u2019s pace, he can still deliver.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, Lewis Hamilton. He was around P13-P14 in practice all weekend, so just making it into Q3 is a mini win. And he\u2019s still adjusting to the complicated machinery of Ferrari. It\u2019s going to be a long road for them\u2014they\u2019re still behind the top teams and need development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\u2019ll need to attack and defend at Turn 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We saw in Bahrain that Ferrari had solid race pace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(let\u2019s forget their last-minute hard tyre gamble&#8230; Ha ha ha).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>And what about pit stop strategies?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the race is at night, track temperatures drop, helping tyre longevity. The soft tyres have been lasting longer than expected, making a one-stop strategy likely\u2014starting on softs for early overtaking opportunities, then switching to mediums. Some teams may reverse that order, but hards seem unlikely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>So\u2026 who will win the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s something we\u2019ll all find out in just a few hours.
