But the biggest talking point?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p> Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri\u2014two drivers who are not going to make life easy for each other.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Oscar Piastri\u2019s home race was a rollercoaster. He was almost out of the race, going off track in the final laps, but made a stunning comeback, overtaking a seven-time world champion\u2014yes, Lewis Hamilton\u2014to score points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet, despite his recovery, frustration was written all over his face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p> Because he was told to hold position behind Norris.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p> Clearly, why?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>Maybe because the track was too slippery\u2014there were crashes everywhere, and McLaren couldn\u2019t afford to lose both cars. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> And yet, ironically, something similar happened anyway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As soon as Oscar started pushing, he slipped onto the grass, throwing away his podium at his home Grand Prix. You could see the regret in his post-race interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He recently said he would talk to the team about the decision to hold position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, he should. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Both are racing drivers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both want to win. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>You can\u2019t expect one ,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>to just step aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Still, McLaren made their stance clear: whoever is ahead takes the win.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahead? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahead in qualifying? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or just ahead after the first turn, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>where you fight for position and then hold on for dear life? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because if it\u2019s the latter, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Then qualifying will decide everything now.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>One thing is certain\u2014McLaren only cares about securing a 1-2<\/strong> <strong>in Chinese Grand Prix.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They don\u2019t have another Checo, willing to play the second fiddle like Red Bull had in past seasons. They have two drivers who will fight tooth and nail, and that\u2019s exactly what we\u2019re about to witness. Piastri won\u2019t back down. Norris won\u2019t either. And neither will be handing over race wins on a silver platter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Red Bull is still fast, but maybe they are driving with only one car, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>looking at Liam Lawson and Max Verstappen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&nbsp;And as they say, if you are not strong enough, you rely on your rivals\u2019 mistakes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If McLaren executes a perfect race, Verstappen\u2019s chances depend on whether Norris and Piastri get tangled in their own battle.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And Mercedes? They seem locked in that 4-5 zone again, but Lewis Hamilton won\u2019t even have that this time\u2014because he\u2019s at Ferrari now, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>and <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;It was an absolute \u201cwhat the hell?\u201d weekend for them. Charles Leclerc?
