He blazed through Sector 1, slowed down in Sector 2, and repeated the same pattern in Sector 3\u2014again and again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>When asked about it in the press conference, Oscar smirked and said, \u201cYeah, we\u2019re trying too many things to make it a bit faster.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That trademark smile of his?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<strong>It practically screamed, \u201cYou guys can speculate all you want, but one thing is certain\u2014McLaren is the fastest in 2025.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>They are indeed testing \u201ctoo many things.\u201d Lando Norris gave us a small glimpse of McLaren\u2019s raw speed by setting the fastest lap on Day 2\u2014only because the team needed the data. In the final hour of pre-season testing, he emerged with McLaren\u2019s car covered entirely in green, almost as if it were disguised as Stake. But that wasn\u2019t the only eye-catching detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The entire car was wrapped in intricate aerodynamic paint, revealing secrets that McLaren was desperate to protect. As Norris rolled into the pit lane, the team immediately formed a human wall\u2014blocking cameras, paparazzi, and rival teams from catching a glimpse. More than 30 mechanics huddled around, shielding it as they carefully wheeled it back into the garage.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Oscar\u2019s lack of laps and absence from the fastest timesheets sparked suspicions. Is he struggling? Well, qualifying has never been his strong suit compared to Lando, but all he needs to do is secure a spot in the top three. And once he\u2019s in the mix, we all know he has the skill to fight for victory. Nothing much to say about this generation of car\u2026 but honestly, it doesn\u2019t have to be perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, with a grin, he dropped the real bombshell:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cIt just needs to be better than any other car on the grid.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>We see you, Oscar. You\u2019re hinting at something big, and we\u2019re not doubting you for a second. The truth will finally be revealed in the second week of March at the Australian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>McLaren has kept their cards close to their chest, unlike Ferrari, where Charles Leclerc was already running race simulations on Day 3.
