After two decades. After building Red Bull Racing from the ground up. After leading them to 8 Constructors&#8217; Championships and multiple driver titles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>And no\u2014he didn\u2019t step down.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>He was fired.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, the man who once ruled the F1 paddock with an iron fist, who turned energy drinks into championship fuel, did not want to leave at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Horner fought tooth and nail to stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the decision was made\u2014fast, clinical, and cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just the way F1 often is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And yet&#8230; here comes the irony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just hours after booting him out, F1\u2019s official pages and Red Bull\u2019s own social media were flooded with tributes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cA legend.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cA visionary leader.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cThank you, Christian.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Wait&#8230; what?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, you fire the man and then celebrate him like a war hero?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>It\u2019s like calling an employee into HR,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>giving him the sack,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>and ending with,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cBy the way, you were amazing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We&#8217;ll miss you dearly.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Ha&#8230;Ha&#8230;Ha&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why Did Red Bull Fire Horner? Let\u2019s Break It Down.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Post-Newey Chaos<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everything started falling apart after Adrian Newey\u2014the mastermind behind Red Bull\u2019s dominant cars\u2014left in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team\u2019s performance dipped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>The car looked beatable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For a team so used to crushing rivals, this was unacceptable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Someone had to take the fall.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guess who that was?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. The Scandal That Refused to Die<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were always whispers of an internal scandal involving Horner and a hospitality team member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Red Bull kept denying. Christian kept brushing it off. But even smoke becomes poison when it lingers too long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eventually, it became a question of corporate image, and the board seems to have had enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Desperate Move to Keep Max Verstappen<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The real bombshell?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Max Verstappen is all set to leave for Mercedes in 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Red Bull knows this.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Everyone knows this.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>And in a last-ditch attempt to hold on to their golden boy, they may have tried removing the one person Max (and more importantly, Jos Verstappen) couldn\u2019t get along with\u2014Christian Horner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let that sink in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They fired the man who built Red Bull\u2019s legacy, just to show Max how far they\u2019d go to keep him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Spoiler: It still might not be enough.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. What Goes Around\u2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s not forget\u2014Horner was never the sentimental type when it came to his drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daniil Kvyat? Gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pierre Gasly? Dropped mid-season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alex Albon?
